FAQ
Whereabouts in Northern Ireland do you go?
I’m based in the North Coast, but I’m happy to travel! I’ve hosted private sessions in everything from community halls to coffee shops. If you have a venue in mind, just let me know in the form below.
I also host public workshops at Infuse Tea Bar in Coleraine, Northern Ireland (keep an eye on my Journal Club x Infuse page for upcoming dates).
What actually happens during a workshop?
We usually start with a quick 'settling in' chat. I’ll then guide you through a mix of short writing prompts and easy, playful art techniques (think washi tape, ephemera, and stickers). It’s very relaxed, think of it as a guided brain-dump with better stationery and plenty of conversation.
Will I have to share what I write with the group?
Your journal is your private space. While there is often time for chat and connection, your reflective writing and creativity is for your eyes only, only share if you feel comfortable doing so.
Do I need to bring my own supplies?
I provide all the necessary materials [including a fresh notebook and creative stationery/tools] so you can just show up and relax. If you have a favourite pen or a journal you’re already working in, feel free to bring it along!
Do I need to be good at art or writing?
Not at all! This isn't about creating a masterpiece, it’s about the process of clearing your head. If you can doodle a circle or write a shopping list, you have all the skills you need.
What if I’ve never journaled before?
Perfect! My workshops are designed for both beginners and seasoned journalers. I provide guided prompts and gentle techniques to help everyone find their flow.
Do you offer private group bookings?
Yes! I love hosting private sessions for events such as community sessions, birthdays, hen parties, workplace wellness days and more. Reach out via the form below with your group size and location to chat about ideas.
Is there an age limit for participants?
Journaling is for everyone! While my public sessions are typically designed for adults, I can easily tailor my workshops to suit most age groups. Whether you’re looking for a creative session for children, teenagers, or a mixed-age family group, just get in touch to discuss how I can adapt the techniques for your needs.
